Presets are an amazing way to enhance the images you take with minimal effort. When you apply a preset in Lightroom with one click, it automatically makes all of the specific adjustments that are saved in that preset to your image.
I LOVE presets because they…
I’m so excited to share these instructions on how you can install presets to your FREE Lightroom mobile app. There are a few steps which can be off-putting, but once you have the preset on your phone, you’re going to LOVE going through your camera roll and jazzing up all those “blah” photos! Here are the step by step instructions for getting presets into your LR mobile app.
Be sure you have installed the FREE Lightroom Mobile app on your phone. Once you have it on your phone, you’ll need to create an account and “sign up” either with your Facebook account or an email address.
When you fill out your name and email to receive my FREE Fresh Preset, you’ll receive an email with a link to download the file to your device.
The link takes you to the DNG file. You do not need to have the Dropbox app on your phone to access this file. If asked; select “continue to website.”
When downloading the file, ensure that you download it to the camera roll of your device.
Once the app is open, go to the library.
You need to add the DNG file you just saved to your phone by clicking the + icon in the bottom right corner.
Now your DNG file is imported and you need to save it as a preset so you can easily use it.
Click on the circle with the three black dots in the top right corner to bring up the menu below.
Then click on “Create Preset.”
That opens up a menu where you’ll need to click on the arrow to accept which settings you’re copying. (You want to leave the ones it automatically selects, so don’t uncheck anything.)
It also asks you to name your preset, and you can assign it into a preset group if you’d like.
Finally, click the check mark in the upper right corner, and CONGRATS! You now have a preset installed in your Lightroom Mobile app!
Troubleshooting: If your preset doesn’t show up in your “User Presets” folder, or whatever other folder you saved it to, you may need one more step. When in the Preset tool, click the three black dots in the circle in the top right corner, and then clock on the eye symbol next to “Show Partially Incompatible Presets.” Now your preset should be there!
Here are just a couple examples of how the FRESH preset transforms images with just ONE click!
